Gwenesta B. Melton, M.D.
Dr. Melton treats a spectrum of rheumatologic illnesses. Utilizing state of the art biologic agents, patients are offered the latest therapies available for their care.
Dr. Melton graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
Dr. Melton is a member of the American College of Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, a former faculty member Duke University Medical Center as adjunct consulting physician in the rheumatology division.
Educating physicians and physician assistants, Dr. Melton is a family practice preceptor for Southern Regional Health Center and Womack Army Medical Center. Holding a faculty position at Methodist University, Dr. Melton helps prepare physician assistants.
